Koora Elite Soccer Academy uses its diverse resources and years of soccer knowledge and experience to offer comprehensive strategies with each player, so they may progress with their own unique capabilities to reach fuller potential and senses of personal accomplishment. We accomplish this in a framework of core values that promote respect, teamwork, effort, sportsmanship and most importantly, enjoyment.
Koora Elite Soccer Academy is based out of Grande Prairie.
It is our vision to improve and/or compliment the overall experience and training regimens of young soccer players
(7-14) in our city. Comprised of multiple passionate coaches each with 10+ years of international experience, Koora Elite selects five groups of 10-14 players ages 7-14 who show great soccer potential and are looking for further development,
We are geared toward high level players. We focus on the refining and adjusting of technical skills, communication & team building exercises, understanding attacking and defending positions, and ways to maintain and create healthy athletes. Our coaching staff can apply lengthly individual instruction so that well rounded understandings of individual and team building exercises can be given.
Koora Elite Soccer Academy has also developed a Code of Conduct in order to provide the best learning environment possible for the players.
Houssam Chattri created Koora Elite Soccer in September 2017, with a vision of developing a fun and competitive Soccer Academy. Houssam played competitive soccer in Morocco for 12 years as a centre back and offensive midfielder. With the completion of his Standard First Aid, Level C CPR, MED (Making Ethical Decisions) evaluation, The Provincial C License course, FIFA 11+ & Movement Preparation course, Houssam Chattri is ready and eager to continue his coaching journey. Katrina Shirley has been with Koora Elite since its creation in September 2017. She grew up playing soccer in Grande Prairie, Alberta. As of 2006, she played yearly for city A teams, Summer/Winter Games, the Francophone Games and in U16 for Team Western Canada. She later played for the Grande Prairie Regional College before moving to Vancouver to continue her education. Katrina is a certified coach in Alberta with Movement Preparation and FIFA 11+ course completions. Katrina speaks French and English.
Keder Idriss has been a part of Koora Elite since its foundation. He has a background in personal training and has been playing soccer for over 20 years in Somalia and Canada. He has his standard First Aid, Level C CPR, and a lot to offer our camp when it comes to conditioning and injury prevention.
Keder is known as a great defender in Grande Prairie. He has been playing in men's league indoor soccer with Deportivo for 4 years. Keder speaks English, Arabic and Somali
Keith Ochoga has over a decade of soccer playing experience in the Nigeria Football Leagues and outside of Nigeria. He played mostly in midfield positions as well as a forward creating scoring opportunities. Keith swiftly translated his passion for the beautiful game into coaching through soccer clinics to youngsters with teammates in different cities...
In the past decade Keith coached mostly in school settings of K-12 ages: preschool soccer club, elementary school soccer clubs, middle school soccer clubs and high school soccer clubs (Boys‚Äô teams and Girls‚Äô teams) in a couple of cities in Nigeria (where he was also athletic director in a K-12 school) with some intermissions where he had short stints of resuming his soccer career but was again swiftly paused by injuries. Keith is standard first aid ‚Äî level C cpr/aed certified.
